Your Cuff — Fit it once. Wear it often.
Every cuff bracelet from McCormack Design Studio is handcrafted to provide years of comfortable wear. Unlike hinged bracelets, cuffs are designed to be adjusted once to comfortably fit your wrist. Repeated bending can weaken the metal over time, causing unnecessary stress that may eventually lead to cracks or breakage.
With just a few simple steps, you can ensure your cuff remains beautiful for years to come.
How to Put Your Cuff Bracelet On…
The best way to wear a cuff bracelet is not by pulling the opening apart.
Instead:
Hold the cuff with the opening facing the narrowest part of your wrist.
Slide one side of the opening onto the side of your wrist.
Rotate the bracelet over your wrist until it rests comfortably in place.
Once positioned, gently squeeze the cuff one time—only if necessary—to create a comfortable, secure fit.
This single adjustment should provide a personalized fit for everyday wear.
Why This Matters…
Sterling silver, copper, brass, bronze and other jewelry metals are strong, but they are not designed to be bent back and forth repeatedly.
Each time a cuff is opened wider and squeezed smaller again, the metal experiences stress. Over time, this repeated movement causes the metal to harden—a natural process known as work hardening. As the metal becomes harder, it also becomes less flexible and more prone to cracking or breaking.
By fitting your cuff once and wearing it properly thereafter, you help preserve both its strength and its handcrafted beauty.
A Handcrafted Piece Deserves Gentle Care…
Every cuff bracelet is individually handcrafted, textured, formed, and finished by hand. Small variations are part of its unique character and reflect the artistry behind its creation.
Treat your cuff with the same care with which it was made, and it will continue to accompany you through life's journey, developing its own beautiful character with every wear.
Finding Your Perfect Fit…
A properly fitted cuff should:
Feel secure without pinching.
Stay comfortably in place during normal wear.
Rotate only slightly on your wrist.
Slide on and off using the side of your wrist without needing to be opened each time.
If your cuff feels too loose or too tight, make one small adjustment rather than repeated bending.
